Though there are many ways to take herbal medicine, one of the most popular is by making a "tea". The powder is mixed into boiling water and you need to stir. Though this sounds like a no brainer, many people end up with a bunch of sludge at the bottom of their cup. To avoid this, you need to STIR IT UP! As the boiling water cools, stir intermittently to help dissolve the powder into the water...voila - no sludge!
For your viewing pleasure, here is a video of how to make your herbal tea put to Patti LaBelle's "Stir It Up". Enjoy!
Here are the basic components:
~1/2 cup of boiling water (it can be more, if you'd like)
Your prescribed dosage
Stir!
This is typically done 30 minutes before or 60 minutes after food in the AM and PM.
Taking herbal medicine shouldn’t feel like a chore! If you’ve been prescribed powdered herbs and can’t stand the sludge at the bottom of your cup, try this technique for a smoother, more effective tea.
