Microneedling uses very fine, short needles to create tiny micro-channels in the skin. These channels trigger your body’s natural healing response, boosting collagen and elastin production—the proteins responsible for firm, smooth, youthful skin.

Most patients describe it as mild pressure or a “scratchy” sensation. You’ll have the option for topical numbing cream, which dramatically reduces discomfort.

Many patients say it feels easier than they expected!

Minimal. You may experience:

• Redness (like a mild sunburn) for 24–48 hours

• Light tightness or dryness

• Occasional mild swelling

You can typically return to normal activities the next day.

You may notice a “glow” within the first week. However, full collagen remodeling takes time.

Most people see visible improvement around 4 weeks, with best results after completing a full series.

A great rule of thumb:

One microneedling session per decade of life.

Examples:

• 30s → 3–4 sessions

• 40s → 4–5 sessions

• 50s → 5–6 sessions

• 60s → 6–7 sessions

Nano needling can also safely treat:

• Lips

For 3–5 days before:

• Avoid retinol or retin-A

• Avoid exfoliating acids

• Avoid tanning and sunburn

• Avoid alcohol 24 hours before

Hydrated skin responds best, so keep moisturized and drink plenty of water.

You may notice:

• Temporary redness

• Light swelling

• Tight or dry feeling

• Increased skin sensitivity

These resolve quickly—usually within 24–72 hours.

Yes — avoid for 24–72 hours:

• Sweating / exercise

• Makeup

• Sun exposure

• Sauna or hot yoga

• Retinol

• Vitamin C serums

• AHAs/BHAs

• Exfoliation

This is your skin’s “healing window”—keep it clean, hydrated, and sun-protected.

Yes! Microneedling is considered safe for all skin tones and types. However, we may modify settings to ensure maximum comfort and safety.

Not recommended for:

• Active acne (pustules)

• Open wounds

• Active eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis in the area

• Pregnancy

• Cancer &/or Radiation treatments within the past year

• Blood thinners

• Keloids

• Acutane users within the past 3 months

• Those with Lupus

Caution with:

• Botox or Fillers within the past 2-4 weeks

• Cannot go over those with microbladed eyebrows

You’ll want to avoid makeup for 24–48 hours while the microchannels close.

Your skin absorbs skincare 2,000–3,000% better after microneedling.

Using high-quality hyaluronic acid and TCM-based essential oils (Frankincense, Myrrh, etc.) boosts hydration, healing, and glow.

Yes — it's available and optional.

Most patients choose it for comfort, especially on the first visit.

Most appointments take 45-60 minutes, depending on the size of the area and whether numbing is applied.

Not for at least 72 hours after a microneedling session. This is to avoid bacteria contamination during skin healing.

Avoid all bodies of water (ocean, pond, lake etc.) for, at minimum, 3 days post microneedling. It is best to wait for 5-7 days.

Avoid sweating for 24-48 hours after microneedling due to bacteria contamination.

You should wait 3 days minimum. 5-7 days is best.

No sun for the first 24 hours after microneedling. Again, waiting 2-3 days is best. For the first week after microneedling, please wear a mineral based sunscreen.

Wait at least 7 days after microneedling before any facial waxing.
