Physical Therapy at Union Yoga & Physical Therapy in Annandale, VA

Hi friends!   My name is Dr. Danielle Rose and I'm the owner/founder of Union Yoga & Physical Therapy.  Though I have now added acupuncture and herbal medicine into my repetoire, physical therapy is my first love.  And I would love to show you how quality, personalized PT can change your life.  When you're ready to move up from 'factory PT', please give me a call

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

What are your prices?

No, Union Yoga & Physical Therapy is out of network with all insurance.  Please check with your provider to see if you are eligible for reimbursement.

A superbill is emailed to you at the end of each session.  This enables you to submit your claims to your insurance.

How long are your sessions?

Physical Therapy Evaluation:  $165

Physical Therapy Session:  $135

Is there parking available onsite?

My office is a private, home office that has direct access from the driveway.  Parking is available down the driveway, to the right of the garage door.  There are 2 stairs up to the office.

All sessions are 60 minutes long and spent directly with Dr. Danielle Rose.

Do you do other things besides PT?

Do you have a cancellation policy?

What kind of PT are you?

I am a very physical, hands-on PT.  I am a spine-first PT and believe strongly in strength and stability as a necessary foundation for our musculoskeletal health.  I am frank, honest, motivating yet compassionate and work very hard to get you better.

What age ranges do you work with?

Yes, the cancellation policy is 24 hours notice or a full charge for the session.

If I have my period, should I reschedule my pelvic floor evaluation?

This is up to you.  I have no problems conducting a pelvic floor evaluation when someone is menstruating; however, if it makes you uncomfortable or if you are having significant pain during your period, then yes, please feel free to reschedule.

I usually say that I'm a "double digit" PT.

If I have my period, should I reschedule my pelvic floor treatment?

Generally no.  Frequently, we're not spending a ton of time completing pelvic floor specific work.  And there's usually something else that can and should be worked on, that is not pelvic floor specific.

I'm early!  What should I do??

What should I expect when I arrive?

Once you've parked, please come on in!  When you come in, please take your shoes off and place them in the tray next to the chair.  My floors are tile and quite cold (though the room is warm), so feel free to bring socks.  There's a basket for your things and a small table for your phone & keys.  There is a bathroom around the corner from the office (2 steps up).

If I don't want dry needling, do I have to have it?

If you're early AND there is another car in the parking area, please stay up by the mailbox until that car leaves.  Then proceed down the driveway.  If you're early and there's no car in the driveway, feel free to park and come on in.  If I need a minute, I'll let you know.

Do I actually have to go inside your home?

It's a great question and no, you do not actually go anywhere except my office.  If you'd like to see what's it's like when you arrive.  Please take a look at this blog + video.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Credit card, check & cash are all accepted.

For credit cards: (including HSA/FSA cards) A fee of 2.6% +.15 is added.

For checks:  Please have it pre-written and made out to Union Yoga & PT.

For cash:  Exact cash only.  No change will be provided.

How often do I have to come for treatment?

Typically patients come for treatment 1x/week for at least 4 weeks.  Then we reassess and see what is necessary from there.

If I'm in pain, should I come in for treatment?

Honestly, I get this question all of the time.  And YES!  Please come in when you're actively having pain.  It helps me to figure out the big picture.  And it helps YOU feel better!

What should I expect during a pelvic floor evaluation?

A pelvic floor exam is encompassed by a full lower quarter exam, with an emphasis on the spine and hips.  We then proceed to the pelvic floor specifically.  There is an internal exam; however, that will always depend on the patient's comfort.  The internal exam assesses tension, pain and strength/endurance of the pelvic floor specifically.  Though the internal exam is not mandatory, it does impact the ability to make a true PT diagnosis.

What should I wear?

Please wear something comfortable to move in.  Bring or wear shorts if you're having your leg worked on.  Bring or wear a tank top for your upper quarter.

No, of course not.  If you don't like needles or don't think this type of treatment is right for you, do can absolutely opt out.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out via email or text.  You can absolutely call, but please leave a message and I will get back with you within 1 business day.
